MarkdownToDoc

Hi there! 👋

I'm Darren, a designer turned AI prototyper and indie hacker based in Tokyo, Japan. I love building, prototyping and shipping full-stack SaaS tools powered by AI. I try to merge design intuition with code, strategy, and generative AI.

Why I Built This

As AI coding tools like Cursor and Windsurf became my daily drivers, I was constantly creating BRDs, PRDs, and sprint plans in markdown to feed these AI Coding Agents.

The problem? I needed a better way to read and evaluate these files to decide whether they were good ideas worth implementing or vibe coding as side projects.

So I built MarkdownToDoc - a completely free tool to transform any markdown into beautiful, readable documents. The entire app was vibe coded using a systematic AI development approach, proving that great tools can be built quickly and efficiently — this took 24 hours to complete!

Fun fact: This was inspired by my work on Pico Pitch, which generates markdown files for product planning. I needed a way to make those outputs more readable for my own evaluation process, and now you can use it too!
